Private Wilderness

Program note

Three poems by Australian poet Grace Perry take us on a voyage into intimacy and relationships. An agitated first movement (restless) captures the excitement of being truly seen by one's partner. The meditative second (calm) responds in kind to the bells that being touched provokes. The still and dark third movement (adagio) evokes the winter that seizes upon separation.
