A transcription of three movements from BIZARRE BESTIAIRE : Le Lièvre Variable, Le Dugong, Le Mouton à Grosses Fesses, resulting in Saisons, Lagune, and Tango.
SAISONS is built as a promenade with a clear couplet-refrain structure repeated four times, as the text refers to the four seasons. The variability of the hare is conveyed by the constant changes of meters and harmonies.
LAGUNE is a slow meditation about water filled with quartal harmonies.
TANGO, a rambunctious and humorous tango, tells the adventures of an unhappy sheep.
